We have a blast in The Big Funk Company, a multicultural troupe with superhuman energy! I'm a proud BFC actress, director and board member. The BFC's intent is to bring American theatre to France, and to present bilingual productions to French and English speaking communities, using work from American authors.
I've worked with BAW in a variety of capacities and love the spirit that the school and production house exudes. I'm currently Project Director for their New Voices New Projects initiative - it's a Paris-based platform for artists to exhibit and network innovative new projects already in development. Among other projects, I produced performance events in relation to COP21 (the 2015 UN climate change conference in Paris) and helped bring the stage adaptation of Ingmar Bergman's film Persona by Dutch theatre company Aurora to Paris.
Barefoot Productions is full of ideas, ambition and unquestionable talent! I so enjoy collaborating with this team of explorers, creators and producers of original stage works from around the world on projects like the Buc Anglophone Theatre Festival, a web-series for LeFigaro Live to promote Eric Bouvron's upcoming play, Marco Polo et l'Hirondelle du Khan and other exciting stage works destined for the Avignon Theatre Festival.
Alongside a team of dedicated theatre artists, I worked to produce the first-ever Paris Fringe Festival in 2016, as well as its second edition. This festival of international theatre in English features both international work and France-based companies with a focus on innovative approaches to theatre and an emphasis on contemporary themes. Some of the best theatre I've ever seen in Paris was at this festival, sometimes in unconventional and unexpected places!
If you've never been to an immersive theatre experience you don't know what you're missing! Even though it's already big in places like London and NYC, this is still a rare form of theatre in Paris... But my hope is that foreward-thinking companies like Kaimera can help change that! I was thrilled to work with Kaimera, along with artists from GroupStudio, to create an immersive experience for the fourth annual OuiShare Fest in Paris. OuiShare is an interdisciplinary festival that has been described as "Ted Talks meets Burning Man" and gathers creative leaders, entrepreneurs, movement builders, purpose-driven organizations and communities from across sectors and countries who want to drive systemic and meaningful change.
I'm always open to new collaborations and ideas - feel free to get in touch!
